Feedback on resources and ai

Hi

i like the game but the balancing seems a bit out. 
metal v crystal I get far more metal than crystal. I understand abundance makes for boring gameplay but the imbalance is too big. I don’t need to research metal mining past level 1. Please can you look at this for the next update. 
love the garrisons. 
I’ve played several games with high difficulty (not aggressive) that was challenging but good. Though you have to put them into teams or they all ally with each other and you get constant waves of huge fleets which isn’t fun.
