Mouse doensnt work on game window

I have an issue that always occurs during the game. Sometimes it happens immediately after the match starts, and other times it happens after a few hours.

The issue is as follows: the mouse is no longer recognized, or at least not completely. Let me explain: during the session, I can click and select troops and planets, and I can move around the map, but it won't accept any movement or construction commands. The side menus, like Research and Economy, are available and can be selected, but I can't do anything within them.

 

Do you know what might be causing this?

 

I’ve already tried resetting the settings, uninstalling the game, restarting the PC, and reinstalling it.
