Marza missile barrage vs Reactive Armor

Reactive armor tooltip says +20 to armor strength and 35% missile damage reduction to hull damage.
Missile barrage throws 100 dmg missiles with 600 pierce.
My capship equipped with Reactive Armor received a hundred dmg each volley.
So, either Reactive Armor does not reduce hull damage via missiles at all, or the missiles from the barrage are exempt.

I was thinking a bit, if beam upgrades could upgrade the beam skill on the Kol, because it is a weapon skill, the weapon is activated only via the skill, but in terms of 'lore', it is a weapon and it uses ships generator.
There are other skills on other ships that are capped to the ship level and is not upgradable via standard stats upgrades.
So, Marza barrage now also does 100 dmg whether youre at game start or late game.
All factions have skills that release weaponry, say Vulkoras has phase missiles skills, so if deemed worthwhile, try to consider those skills if you like, to be upgradable. Maybe even weaken the base stat, mid-game say, be equal, late game be slightly stronger.
Coronata has a skill that is in effect a beam as well, will it also be getting research-based upgrades as well ?
